The tragic death of the man's beloved sister happened as sorrowful story in the past. His love for his sister is unstoppable. His memories with his sister are never forgotten. His sister is his inspiration. Kind role model. Taking her place, he will continue the journey to fight against the unholy creatures and save humankind.

Gah! You already took some of mine. XD I'm a huge fan of Kino's Journey and Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. Here are my recommendations: Paranoia Agent - Mystery/psychological/thriller Boogiepop Phantom - Supernatural/horror/psychological/thriller/mystery ( Definitely watch this one. It's fantastic.) Dennou Coil - I'm not really sure how to categorize this one. I guess sci-fi?(Also a fantastic series) Gurren Lagann - GIANT ROBOT ACTION, YEAH. With a bit of comedy and drama. Haibane Renmei - Another hard one to describe. Like most things involving Yoshitoshi ABe. It's really good! Gunslinger Girl - Action/drama Another I'd recommend is an animated film called '5 Centimeters Per Second.' It's kind of a slice-of-life, romance film. It's another all time favorite of mine. OH, and 'The Girl Who Leapt Through Time.' This one is slight comedy, slice-of-life and sci-fi.

Kei-on / K-ON - Light hearted musically inclined anime. Beck - Same as K-ON but a little bit matured. Detroit Metal City - Funny Death Metal themed anime Koukaku no Regios - School Life with fast paced action scenes Tayutama Kiss on my Deity - Supernatural, Harem Otome wa Boku wa Koishiteru - Genderbender comedy Clannad - Slice of Life , truly a masterpiece in terms of artwork and plot. NHK ni Youkuso - Slice of Life , too much realism lol. Otaku days lol...

That one's a total must, and it has to be seen more than once to be fully grasped.
I'd say RahXephon - my all time favorite anime by far. Many people say it's only a poor clone of Evangelion, but I think that's as far from the truth as humanly possible. Time-travel, lost love, mecha, other dimensions, warped memories... I love it so much
Btw, I don't need to recommend things like Ghost in the Shell or Cowboy Bebop, right? _________________ You're a materialist, like all ignorant people. But your materialism doesn't make materialism true.

Oh okay. Oh, right, you don't need to. I've been seeing Ghost in the shell and Cowboy Bebop just like these were the old times. -_- Lol _________________ [img:d2ee]http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff237/Esper_Rheo/AJ_02_sigcopy.png[/img:d2ee]

Cardcaptor Sakura - Magical girl, need I say more? Powerpuff Girls Z - Ditto, same as above. Mai-HIME : Kinda the same thing as the first two, only more dramatic, and with giant summoned monsters, and yuri. XD

I just watched Mamoru Oshii's animated film "The Sky Crawlers" the other day, and it was really quite good. The trailer made it seem more action-packed, which it does have some action scenes, but it's mostly this very slow paced, quiet human drama. That's not to say it's bad or anything, I personally loved the film, but I just thought I'd say if that's what you were expecting based on the trailer..well, you know. ^ _ ^ But I highly recommend it. It's out on regular DVD and Blu-Ray. I bought the Blu-Ray. But, regardless of the format, I recommend this one highly.

I'm currently watching the anime "Ghsot Stories". If anyone on this forum hasn't seen it, I highly recommend it. It is the most off-the-wall show I've ever seen, one that not only makes you want to watch the dub, but it makes you rewind the dub, with so many "WTF did they just say?" moments. Perfect example, grandfather and grandmother talking to the main char's father at the beginning, and the grandfather stating "The minute this bitch kicks, I'm movin' to Florida." Let lines like that, set the tone for the rest of the show.

if you want some good animes I'll leave some names here Neon Gensis Evangelion - Is a vry confusing old an well known anime. If you ever felt deserpesed, like you were about to break or hated yourself, sure you'll understand some of themes. Just warming, the best character only shows up one episode. After finishing the anime you MUST watch The End of Evangelion. You follow Shinji, Rei and Asuka, mainly. Trigun - Another classic. You follow Vash, a goofy man with a vry high price oh his head. Is starts off vry funny, but as you advange you look at it not as humor anime but as an anime with much more behind it than what you can ever imagined, the ending is also vry surpising. Trinity Blood - If you like vampires, this anime is good for you. You follow a father called Abel Nightroad who works under the Vatican. He's a vry funny person who is always hungry and loves to help the anothes, however, he hides a vry dark secert... Not so violent as Hellsing, Trinity Blood is more emotive and plays a lot with our emotions towards the ones that are different from you. Axis Powers Hetalia - This anime is still on the runing and just today I saw the brand new episode 24. It goes around the relationships between the country we know, especially around the World War II, telling us History in a vry funny way. Each character represents a country, beinh Italy (Hetalia) the main country/character. If you like to laugh, I recomend this anime. Each episode is vry small, having aroun 5 mim each. Excel Saga - This anime basicly as no plot and is a cruel joke on many of the animes sytles we see now. We follow the crazy Excel in her quest to fall Ilpalazzo fall in love with her. If you like to laugh (vry hard) this one is perfect. ^_^ Hope you enjoy your views.
